My bow came with one harmonic dampener with the weight and then just a "normal" one on the other end. Did they just only use one to cut cost or is it balanced somehow or something? I wanted to but another weighted one to try and cut back on some more noise but i wasn't sure if it was worth it.

I spent yesterday morning with at my locasl shop (Vance's), where my buddy bought and started to customize his new Heli M... we noticed the same about his. I'm assuming it's by design.

Yeah I just looked at the background picture on this page and see that the Helim only has one harmonic dampener. Must be a new design.

If it's a Helim, I've heard from a few guys that using the weighted one on both ends helps cancel shot vibration.

I have the lite harmonic dampeners on both ends. I can't really tell a difference. I just so happen to buy a string stop that came with lite harmonic dampener. I wouldn't run out and buy one...

The top is usually a plastic weight and the bottom is usually a brass weight. You can order different weights to put in there to offset the weight of your bow tho.

They usually only give you one harmonic dampener. Thats what they did on my original z7.

It's my understanding that the added weight make a huge improvement in dampening qualities, while adding the second heavy weight, only reduces it a little amount. I believe the thinking is that 1st one is beneficial enough to out weight the additional ozs while the second isn't really worth it.

One is a stabilizer and the other a dampener. Im sure they come with both because each one adds something different to the bow.
I would like to swap out my harmonic stabilizer and string stop with a lite version.
