I just switched to a thumb release a few months ago. So far I am really liking it. The main reason I switched was because I enjoy filming my own hunts and hated having my wrist release banging on the camera and getting in the way. Now I can put my thumb release on my bow and have my hand free to work the camera till I was ready to draw. I know I got a TruFire just don't remember which one off the top of my head but I have been very happy with it!

I switched to a thumb release almost a year ago, doubt I'll ever go back to a wrist release. I started with the Hot Shot Tempest, which is a great release but wanted something differant. I am now using a Carter Attraction, this release is a thumb and/or resistance release. The Tempest you can attach to the loop the Attraction has a hook and you can't.

I went to a tru fire 4 finger edge when I got my Heli-M. I don't think I'll go back to wrist anytime soon. Love the thumb release.

I switched to a Stan Shootoff Trio about a year and a half ago. I absolutely love it but am currently using a Stan Jet Black Hinge release for leagues until hunting season starts. Learning with the hinge for back tension is very humbling.

Another great thing about thumb release is you can get about .5" to 1" of extra draw length with them in comparison to a wrist release.

I prefer thumb release overall. I film my hunts too. I know another poster mentioned something about that earlier, but if you film your own hunts thumb releases tend to be a tad bit better as well.

Thumb realese here it seemed to me i would be shooting everywhere with the wrist because i couldnt find a comftorble ancor but with thumb i could find it easy and its just more convinient
