This is my first time using the HIT inserts and I'm a little unsure of what broadhead to use because I really don't want to use an adapter ring, maybe a 1 1/8 inch 100 grain striker??

I used Easton Axis Nfused last year tipped with 100gr slick trick standards and they performed flawlessly for me.

you should be able to use most broadheads just fine...the key is finding one that shoots and performs well for you....myself I shoot axis 340's with 100 gr. spitfire edge heads....
