What specific hunters safety system harness do you guys use ? Is there a specific reason why you use the one you use.

I have the NRA vest. Really like it. Plus during our gun seasons when I'm Bowhunting I have my orange vests already since it's reversible.

I have the ultra light and the ultra light flex. Honestly I like to keep everything as light and small as I can wile hunting so they work perfect for me!!

Love the ultra light . Very comfortable on stand and has never seemed to get in the way.

I also use the Ultra-Lite. I like how versatile it is. Early season I have it on the outside and it slowly moves in as I put more layers on.

I started using the Elite vest last year and I absolutely love it. I really didn't think I would but it's very easy to use, comfortable, and has enough pockets to hold most of the stuff I need access to quickly. I kept my release, extra camera batteries, scents, grunt tube, and some other stuff in it most of the season and it worked great. It's definitely going to be my go-to harness for this fall.

I have the ultra-light and the Elite vest. After using the vest a couple of times, I grew to love it.

Is the Elite light enough that wearing something over it be bulky or is it tapered/slimlined enough that would be easily doable? I rarely wear my harness on the outside unless very warm weather....but the Elite vest could change that.

You could wear something over it if you wanted to, but I'm not sure I would. It would be a touch on the bulky side I think. If you're planning on wearing your harness under a jacket I'd still recommend the Ultra Lite as the best option. Although if you picked up an Elite I doubt you'd want to wear it under your jacket. It's very soft and quiet, and has a lot of pocket space. I wore it over my Full Season jacket well into the middle of December.

My new favorite combo to hunt in is my Minus 33 Merino wool base layer shirt, ScentLok Alpine hoodie, and HSS Elite vest. I wore that in temps into the 30's with no problems.
