Hey guys, first time long time here.

Im hoping someone can help me remember what season/episode of BHOD where Todd talked about a specific tall native grass he planted to help pattern the deer and use as a screen for entering/exiting stands. I cant remember if it was from season 5 of 6. Anyone remember?

I don't remember but I plant miscanthis gigantic mixed with switchgrass from.my screens. Alot of guys will plant Egyptian wheat because it grows like 12 feet in 1 year, but it's only a annual. Mine is a perennial. No maintenance but it takes about 3 years to make a true screen.

I actually bought the giant bag of seed that Todd was using for this from him because he had a ton left over. It's primarily switchgrass, with some indian mixed in. I've used it for screens on two farms now and both times it worked really well. I only had it for one season in each place, but I was happy with first year results. It's being used behind my house right now for a plot I have that's within view of the house and worked really well........I'm curious to see how much better it will be this upcoming year which will be it's second season.

Excellent thanks for the info. I planted sorghum last year for the first time with GREAT results (see picture below). Deer used the 1/2 acre plot more than ever before and my buddy took a nice 8 off of it during daylight. I was hoping to plant a perennial as my time is limited (new job, hew house with 22 acres and twins) to get out to the property each spring just for a small strip.
