Camera equipment

What some of the set ups you guys use? I'm looking for a good camera and I want to use something like a libec remote control for it. Also any fluid head recommendations would be helpful. Thanks!

 

I think most the guys use Canon g30, xa20, or Sony ax100. Can't go wrong with a varizoom remote and manfrotto fluid head. There's quite a few camera arms out there, just comes down to personal preference on those. I personally use a HCO CAMERA arm from 5 years ago and have no intentions of switching.

Does the g20 have the lanc control option?

 

Yes it does. It's almost identical to the g30 other then zoom.

Cool, I read somewhere that they discontinued the G30 but are still making the G20

 

As far as the XA10,20, etc. the only difference in those is zoom as well.
I run an XA10, Rode mic, Varizoom controller, go pro, and 4th arm

 

im using a canon hf g10. camera does real well in low light but the zoom isn't great. i like my varizoom lanc controller but i have no experience with anything else. Im currently using a lightning assassin camera arm. i love this camera arm. i have several bases mounted at different stands and the arm is pretty light and has 57in reach so it will reach anywhere i need.
