Jusy watched the latest episode, with each passing week, I keep feeling sorry for Justin! The glasses helped a little bit, he just needs one more lucky charm! Cmon man!
Go back and watch the episode, he passed up a few bucks that 95% of most hunters would shoot without a thought. He's just at that place in his life where he is willing to sacrifice shooting a 120 inch deer every year for getting the opportunity to shoot a 140-150 inch deer maybe once every other year or once in three years or whatever. Props to Justin for staying patient and not letting the pressure of doing a webcast cause him to take a deer he does not want to take. Hope it pays off for you buddy!
I'm pulling for Justin to bag a nice buck. I'm feeling less sorry now that I know he "could" have shot a decent buck. :D I was waiting and hoping that last buck would step out so we could see that lighted knock zipping through the air. Come on Justin get'er done! :D I really enjoyed this week's show and love the enthusiasm Paul has when he bags a buck. That was genuine and pretty dang cool to see.
Oh that Justin!! Thought you were talking about a TV hunting show. I love to watch the Bowhunt or Die hunts.
I really think all this patience and waiting that Justin is doing is really going to pay off. In the end it's going to be one of his most epic and unforgettable seasons. IMHO.
I've had about the same kind of season Justin, everything will fall into place one of these evenings. Great episode as always guys!
Keep getting in the tree and say a lil prayer sooner or later blessings alway come and better for those who normally wait!!
He has been hunting Hard. If I was his boss I would at least have enough of a heart to give him unlimited time off until he reaches his goals. Just my two cents
Not sure I could hunt any more without my wife killing me and my kids wondering what happened to their dad. An update to my saga - Saturday morning I saw 20+ deer and had 13 or 14 of them in bow range at one point in time. The biggest buck was a ~100 inch 2 year old. Where's the big boys??? Saturday afternoon I watched the STD Buck tend a doe about 300 yards away from me across the valley. Over the course of 2 1/2 hours he fended off 4 different bucks trying to steal his lady. As it got dark he was bedded down 20 yards from her in the middle of a wide open grass field. Pretty cool to see, but still frustrating at the same time. Hopefully he makes it through the 2nd leg of the gun season so I can chase him come late December.
Justin you are truely an inspiration. You are doing the right thing and waiting for a buck you will be happy with. It's only a matter of time before the STD buck messes up.. Hang in their brother.
Good luck Justin. I watched the episode showing all of your encounters. Geez man! Best of luck. I will be hunting right along with you in attempts to arrow a late season buck. After two weeks of intense gun pressure on the public land spot I hunt it is going to be tough!
