I bowfish in central wisconsin (chiefly Waukau Creek and lakes in winnebago and green lake county), and I want to know when the carp start running so I don't have to make too many "scouting trips" because the spots are a little ways away, I don't want to go just to find the run is not on yet.
Obviously weather depending, but usually things are really pumping the June 1-14th, but that can vary up to two weeks on both ends of that two week period. Two years ago, we shot June 7th and between 6 of us on 3 boats, we shot 300-400 fish. Last year, on June 6th, we shot two, and only saw a handful more. Went back June 27th and shot 50 or so with just two of us, and that was nearing the end of the spawn, but they were still giving 'er pretty hard
