Drew my first Colorado Elk Tag

    Hey guys just found out today that I drew my first Colorado elk tag for unit 66! I am beyond excited and have been buy gear for this trip little by little for the last few years. My dad and I will be tenting it.

    Any must haves I see there is other topics to look through but I just wanted share my excitement here!

    Congrats! I trying to hunt that unit also. I put for both mule deer and elk this year and got denied again! That's been 5 years now. How many points did it take for you to draw?

    Congrats! I always do otc. I've had pretty good luck just driving up and buying a tag and hunting. Good luck!

    I have 8 points. Last year I didn't try for a tag though since I had my wedding. My dad had 5 points going in and got denied. We didn't do a group number this year so he will be my guide and hopefully my mule :)
