We have had coyotes running a muck this year on the farm. They have been running the cattle and horses and even killed a neighbors dog a few weeks back. I decided it was time to start eliminating the problem. Shot this one at 200 yards this weekend with a Ruger .270. He was not a big one but its one less to run the cattle, horses, and deer this year. One down and about ten more to go!!!

Good shot on a good Coyote.....a dead one.
The .270 is real good medicine for coyotes, I've used one in a Remington bdl for 35 years.
    I kill all the coyotes I see.....ALWAYS !

It sure put a hurting on him. He never even twitched, just flopped to the ground. It is kind of over kill for them but if you hit it, it is going down. I am considering buying a .223 specifically for coyotes just have gotten around to it yet.

Sadly I've shot more coyotes than deer the past two deer seasons. Keep on bagging them. How did you call it in?

Very cool. I have yet to shoot my first one...missed one with a bow a couple of years ago. Also could have shot one a few years back, but let the kid that was hunting with me shoot it....30/30 in the neck & dropped in its tracks.

I shot one years ago with a 30/30. took 4 shots to hit it. first shot missed split between the pair of them. Then it was a full speed run both in different directions. Took 3 more shots as it was racing across the field finally hit it 120 yrds out dropped it dead in its tracks. Fast forward to last year.. picked up electronic caller and MOJO critter.. plus mouth calls.. been out a bunch of times. haven't heard or seen one to get a shot on. I know there still around.. see them in the trail cams.. but haven't been able to call one in. Not going to give up... just need to keep on getting out there looking for them.. Good luck getting the rest of them.. be sure to post pic's when you do. Happy Hunting!!

I didn't call him in. I was sitting over looking the field when he stepped out. He was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.
