My sons first bear hunt

    O.K. he did not shoot it with a bow but I am still darn proud of the kid. His first bear hunt and he takes one over 600 lbs. Kind of ruined it for him right out of the gate. We had the skull measured and entered into Boone & Crocket. He got his certificate about 8 weeks ago. I took one 300 lb. range so it was no slouch but nobody wanted to talk about mine after my sons bruin, he stole my thunder but good for him.

    Funny story to hear my son tell it. Scared him so bad that when we went down to retrieve the bear I had to help him down out of the stand he was so nervous.
