Checking in here. Still have a little bit of a wait for season. Ohio doesn't open until the end of April and Pa is May 2. Good luck to everyone hitting the woods early.
Im at work and have nothing to do so I figured I would introduce myself a little bit for those that dont know me. Im 18 years old and a freshman in college. I live and hunt in SE Michigan. I would choose hunting turkey over whitetail everyday of the week- by far my favorite game to hunt. We can only kill one bird here so I'm still undecided if Im gonna use the bow or shotgun, I'll most likely bring both and decide the morning of. I killed my first bird ever with a bow last year but really enjoyed the more run and gun style hunting I experienced while calling for my buddy. Either way I think it's going to be a great spring. Season opens April 18th but I hit the woods the 23rd, good luck everyone! Some pics from last season And a few of this years targets...
Southeast MI here but hunt southwest. Got my dad his first bird last year, so this year I am concentrating more on myself and getting my first archery tom kill. Curious, Who hunts fields and who hunts the hardwoods?
Checking in from southeastern wi I have lots of birds that are following script and ready for the season to start!!
Checking in! I'll be hunting kansas in April. It's a 2 bird state, ideally I'll take one with bow, and 1 with shotgun. We'll see what happens. I also travel a lot for work and I'll be stationed In New Hampshire for the season opener in May. It's a crappy deer hunting state, but it's loaded with turkey! I killed a nice one up here last spring so I'm hoping to repeat those results. Good luck to everyone, and I'm looking forward to seeing some toms hit the dirt!
Anyone have a suggestion for a team name? I'm not to creative in this department haha but I thought thunder chickens would be a good one
I'm down for any name! Thunder chickens works for me. I don't care what our name is, as long as we all kill big toms! We might as well designate a captain while we're deciding a name.
Checking in from MI. How did we end up with 4 Michigan guys lol. Have killed a bird every year and usually get a few buddies on some. Planning on heading down to Ohio also this year to get on a few more. In the process of trying to get new property here in Michigan and also trying to pick up some in Missouri so may even have to try and get one out there
Since No.6 hunter showed the initiative to start this thread, I will go ahead and nominate him for team captain if there is no objections. Team name doesn't make a difference to me.
