I just updated the contest scorecard. I do apologize for missing an update.

Having said that, there was only one update missed. I have always done weekly or biweekly from the beginning of the season until the WI Rifle season when I'm gone. Then I've done only one update when I get back (typically the last week in Nov or first few days of Dec). That's how it's been the last 4 years of running the contest.

I do this because once December hits, there are much fewer entries, and only a handful in Jan. Most years, the winner has been figured by then and posting the scores seemed like it was spoiling the results.

Now, I truly don't care one way or the other. I do think its funny that in previous years there was no mention of anything, and this year it would seem by the reaction of some that the whole competition has been ruined.

So, moving forward, I will be polling the captains of each team and they can vote on an update schedule for future contests. Again, it really doesn't make a difference to me either way.

Not just the competition Fitz. You ruined my life. I am now addicted to anti-depressants and living in a shelter.

That being said, if the captains vote for more frequent updates, I would be glad to help in any way. As long as the shelter will continue to let me use their wi-fi for free. :bash:

    Thanks for the update, Fitz.

On a side note, my entry post says it was entered but I'm not listed in the team summary on the first post (team 5).

Just want to make sure my 50 points are counted. I would hate to end up in the same condition as fletch920.

I'm sure you don't have better things to do (joke) like hunting yourself, a job and all the updates from the ATA. Great job throughly enjoyed my first year being involved!!!

    Well done Fitz!
I run the contest on the Michigan Sportsmen Forum with just 168 participants (21 Teams), so I have a little experience with what you give to your fellow hunters, and I hardily THANK YOU!

Your off on Team 10 by almost 100 pts. I shot a 173 6/8 in deer not a 74.5. Your entered the total number of one of my bucks antlers and not the total gross score.

Not sure what you are talking about. It's entered in correctly both in the thread and my spreadsheet?

That is correct the official post had it right when it was entered but illinibowhunter wrote unofficial post and had it wrong. Its all your fault illini, LOL NO worries. Not like our Team was in the running anyway.
