Alright besides checking in what is everyone's season starting to look like? My season starts October 1st here in Illinois. Haven't decided if I will get a two week head start and hunt Wisconsin. I have a few semi-decent bucks on my cameras already and getting a good idea of a nice 150+ habits and travel routes! With any luck I can get him early season!
I'm here! Tennessee is open the 4th Saturday in September. As far as deer go, I'll be good for a couple, lord willing. I'm here. Season starts here in MD on September 11th. I didn't shoot a buck last year but I got some new property that is promising along with some deer that have grown substantially on my others. This will be my first contest.. I didnt join until Oct of last year. Look forward to getting to know everyone.
Last year was tough for me. My wife was pregnant with our first kid and I put too much pressure on myself to try and get it done before he was born. After that I only got out a couple times and went after ducks rather than deer. I took all the fun out of it for those couple months. I'm back at it this year and ready to get back to basics. My son is 3 this year and will be hitting my doe stands with me again.. He did great with me last year at 2 but things just never went our way. Killing a doe with him this year is on top of my list.. then daddy can start looking for the big bucks!
