Thats what I was thinking when he said Crick would like it.

 

Going with one or two...or can actually camp/park in the field.

Oh and I was just kidding about the speed limit.

 

Well this is my first year but if bow fishing is gonna be aloud I'm down with that. Lookin forward to seein y'all there.

 

Alright a few of you are almost correct. Grab your bowfishing rigs and waders after all these years we are now able to bowfish down at the river!!! The ponds will still be off limits but after talking with a buddy of mine he informed me that the river is usually filled with carp! We will only have certain areas that we can use due to other campground guests but should be a great time!!!

Ya me too!!! Probably the reason I really pushed them this year to let us shoot!

Reminder for those of you that will be bowfishing. Because the ponds are within the campground on private property you are fine fishing without a license. However in IL you do need a fishing license to bowfish and this is a public river so a license will be needed. You will be able to get them at walmart and they do have a 2 or 3 day or something like that for cheap.

 

June 6-9th are free fishing days in Illinois. No fishing license needed.
