Hey guys, looking forward to see how we do this season. Art Vandelay Berwuckbuckmaster buttonbuckmaster DD/MO DoubleLung JarodKallal lastchanse MechDoc NYMark RugerRedbone vermontwhitetail ZXTMike
Ok we'll I got some great news today. We started a new bridge a few weeks ago and it runs through the middle of a stretch of woods in a somewhat urban area. I have been watching a bachelor group in the power line cut on site for the last couple weeks and two of these bucks are giants for our area. So I started asking the county inspectors about the property and finally found out who owns it. Anyway I went and talked to the owner this afternoon and within 5 minutes he gave me permission! No one else hunts these woods and I will be able to head straight to the stand after work.
YO YO.. Checking in from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan! Looking forward to getting to know you all.! -Good to see you again buttonbuckmaster! Hopefully we can build on the momentum from last year!
DD/MO Checking in. Derek Dirnberger is my name. From MO (obviously) and hunt IL as well. Might even hit OH or IN this year if I can swing it with my work schedule.
To help break the ice i'll give everyone the 'skinny' on myself. My name is Jason Gauthier and I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.. I chase whitetails in the 'Big Woods' of Northern Michigan, Central Wisconsin and I always seem to find time to get out to North Dakota. Typically I'm chasing 3-5 shooters a year and, If I'm good for anything... it's knocking down a doe or two during the bow season. Checkout this link if you're interested in viewing some of the bucks we'll be chasing this year in WI: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.703724839710386.1073741836.275556145860593&type=1 Can't wait to go through the 2014 Bow Season with Team 17! Bring on September 13th fella's!
John checking in from Vermont. I hunt in Vermont and NJ. Most of my serious action is in NJ, many more deer and some large bucks running around out there. September 13 can't come fast enough! Looking foward to spending the season with you guys. Funs the name of the game and hopefully we put some points up too.
Looks like I'm gonna be the first one in the stand, we start sept. 5 here. Hopefully these bucks I've been watching stay on the same pattern and I can put some points up opening weekend.
I don't have many trailcam pics yet. I've only got my cameras up behind my house. I normally have 6 cameras running in IL as well but I haven't even set foot on my place over there yet this year. I'm producing a hunting show on the Hunt Channel this year and it's got me way behind on getting ready for this season. My place in IL is always good for a handful of 150's so I'm not too worried about it. Here's one I'll be after behind my house though. He's a 3.5 year old. Our farm borders I-55 and every year there's a good buck or two hit, so, if they're 3.5 and mid-130's or better, they get an arrow. I'd say he's pushing 140. DD/MO.. checked out your 'Youtube' channel, good stuff! I have been filming myself the past couple of years and edited a few shows, so I can relate when you say it's taken up a lot of your time -yet I wouldn't change a thing and for me there is nothing like being able to re-live your experiences and getting to share them with anyone who cares to listen. If you don't mind me asking what song did you guys use in your trailer? It's a great theme song and for me the hardest thing to do is find a good song to run with for those promos/trailers. Anyway, good luck this year, I look forward to following you guys.
JarodKallal checking in. I hunt in west central illinois. I'm a farmer so the majority of my hunting is after we take crops out. Looking forward to everyone having a great season.
Sounds awesome, hopefully it turns into your own little honey hole.! Nothing like being excited about a new piece of property..
