Season here starts on 27 September and runs through to the end of Feb. Six deer limit, no more than two can be bucks (three point rule in my area). I've been bow hunting off and on since the early 80's, bow only for the past several. Hunting areas include 40 acres I bought this year, 50 acres of hardwood bottoms that I lease and 60 acres near the house that I can hunt for free.
I started bow hunting last year and got my first kill in November. Our season starts Oct 15 and runs through Jan 31. No limit on does, 3 bucks (one has to have at least 3 pts on one side). I will also be headed out to Colorado for Mule Deer/Elk end of September. Our club has about 2500 acres we hunt on in 4 different counties. The cool thing is, our properties all rut at different times so we almost have one continuous rut between all our properties. I will try and get some trail cam pics up later. Oh everyone be thinking of a cool team name too!
Patinthehat, I use to live over in Alabama (Auburn Opelaka area). Shot my first three bow kills on deer there. Got to ask, Auburn or Alabama?
SharpEyeSam checking in from Raleigh, NC. Season starts Sept. 13th here. I have a couple of good bucks I am after. One really Big 8 that is pushing 140. I call him Mr. Sampson! I want to get them early while they are still on their early season pattern.
looks really good. So far I got a really nice 6 pt on camera. need to go pull cards again since it has been about a month. I found a new spot to put a camera up. hoping to do that this week as well. first pic is the 6 pt. 2nd pic is of a 11 pt. that we got on our club camera. im sure a lot of guys will be gunning for him this year. last year he was a typical 8. this year he went freak nasty.
Nice bucks in the pictures above. Haven't got a camera on my lease yet, and only does and small bucks on the 40 acres I have. Took the week off to get stuff working.
Hey everybody, I live and hunt in Southern Indiana. I have to say I am very excited about this year. I have hunted with a bow in the past but very little. This year I will be hunting with bow only. Our season starts October 1st.

Checking in... Live in middle TN and hunt mostly public land with 55 acres of private an hour or so away. Season starts sept 27 and we have very liberal limits. 3 bucks for the year and 3 does per day. I set up a ground blind on the private property and am hoping to kill a deer with my daughter. It will be her first time in the woods at 4 years old, so I am going in wiith expectations of not seeing alot when I am with her, but to just spend time together and have a chance. Can't wait to get started!!
