Has anyone noticed Hoyt bows aren't changing very much from year to year? Take a look at the Factor 30 and the Spyder 30; nearly identical spec wise. The CRX 32/Rampage XT had a 32" A2A, 7 inch brace height and 323fps IBO rating. The Spyder 30 is 330fps, 6.75" inch brace height and 30" A2A. I noticed the looks aren't changing very much either. And the fastest bow they've produced since the Alphaburner has been 34" A2A, 6 inch brace height and 340FPS. Do you think these bows are far too similar each year?
Sounds like it. They must be doing something right. Wouldn't mind putting a few shots though something like the Carbon Spyder 30, one day...

i ordered the cst turbo…haven't bought a new bow for a while. i thought it hit a pretty good compromise between shootability and speed.
+1 on that. the z5 cams are just a hair under the elite draw, which says a lot. it's smooth and eases you into the pocket.
I think it shows the archery industry has leveled off in technology advancements. They pretty much have to rob Peter to pay Paul when changing something. Fit, finish, style and maybe forgiveness are more about what new bows bring to the table.
You really see significant changes about once every 5 years.... The truth is it takes that long in R and D and design .....the off years they just try to skirt by with minor changes ...mostly ascetics.
