Here I am. Checking in from OK. Looking forward to this. I'll be hunting Eastern OK, mainly public ground in the NE and private/leased in the SE. Good deer in both areas if I can only get on one.

A little about me. My name is Brandon. Been bow hunting for around 15 years. Will be hunting SE Oklahoma on my families 1100 acres. Also have another 58 acres to hunt and a few public spots that are great. Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Where from Sooner? I see you have Ft. Smith listed, I am living in the Tahlequah area currently, originally from the Broken Bow area

I'm from Spiro. Live in Roland now though. I was just at Tenkiller today. Spend most of my time in the summer up there. I listed Fort Smith just because it's the biggest city around plus I work there. We use to play Broken Bow in football. We have a cabin in big cedar(if you know where that is) it's between here an BB.

I drive through there ever couple weeks. Pretty country around big cedar down to Mt. Herman. See many bears on your property? That area seems to be the hotspot for our bears, although we are getting a few up here

You too Mike! I just turned 27. My dad had me in a tree at 11-12 with a recurve. Ended up killing a bobcat and two doe with that thing my first year! Hopefully I can get something big on the ground!

Guess I should introduce myself as well. Names Colby. 25 years old, been hunting since I was a little tyke, started bowhunting several years ago, killed a few with a bow, then switched to a longbow, took my biggest with a bow with the longbow, then switched back to compound after my limb cracked on my LB. Been working on a stave for a while to replace my old bow. Iv only taken 3 with a bow though total so I may not be able to hold out for the big bucks. I will just be happy to get a decent buck down

It's beautiful down there. I've only seen two bear on our place in Spiro. Now Big Cedar is a different story. You can see 5-10 a day if you know where to look. There is no quota down there the first four weeks. So I'm going to try and go stick one opening week!

Good luck with the bear. Be sure to post pics when you get one. Growing up around BBow I never saw a bear, and I was always on 3 rivers, my house bordered it on 3 sides. Now that its leased off everybody is starting to see them down there. I hope that the no quota doesn't end up being a mistake with the way the quota has been filled the past few years

Take what ever makes you happy.
Big bucks are great. But smaller ones are easier to carry:D

I spent every summer down there growing up (my moms family is from there) and I never seen one. The past 5-6 years they have been everywhere. I think there is enough that the no quote won't hurt them but we will see. I spoke to a GW a few months ago, he told me next year they are talking about opening at least three more county's for bear.

Sequoyah, Adair, and one more I can't remember. My buddy hunts a lease between here and Cookson and has bears on his cam all the time.
